Our editorial independence
The Zambian People’s Pulse decides what it reports and how it reports it. Nobody who pays us, funds us or works with us gets a say in our journalism. When money is involved, we tell you.
Our rules
- Our editor decides. The editor has the final word on everything we publish. Sponsors and partners never see a story before it goes out.
- Sponsors buy space, not stories. A sponsor can put its name on a series or a labelled slot. It cannot choose, change or stop our reporting, including reporting about itself.
- Government work never buys coverage. If a ministry or public body pays us for work, we say so, and we keep reporting on it as before.
- Paid content is always labelled. If something is sponsored, you will see it on the page and in the video.
- No payment for news. We do not accept money, gifts or favours to publish, change or drop a story.
- Our interests are declared. Our founder and editor also owns Chimpempa Money Loans, a lending business. If we report on lending or loans, we say so.
If we get it wrong
We correct mistakes openly and say what changed. To raise a concern, email press@zambianpeoplespulse.news.
