JOB ADVERTISEMENT GOMES HAULAGE LIMITED Gomes Haulage Limited, a Construction, Transport and Logistics Company based in Ndola, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant position: POSITION: ACCOUNTANT – (1 POSITION) Location: Ndola JOB PURPOSE: To manage the financial operations of the company, ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements and provide financial advisory support to management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: – Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements and cash flow projections. – Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger reconciliations. – Budget preparation, monitoring and variance analysis. – Ensuring compliance with ZRA tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, Withholding Tax). – Managing payroll processing and NAPSA/NHIMA contributions. – Handling bank reconciliations and treasury management. – Liaising with external auditors, ZRA and other regulatory bodies. – Maintaining proper books of accounts and filing systems. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: – Grade 12 Certificate. – Degree in Accounting / Finance OR Full ACCA / CIMA / ZICA Professional Qualification (Mandatory). – Minimum 2-3 years proven work experience. – Must be a member of ZICA. – Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel or similar) and Advanced Excel. – Knowledge of Zambian Taxation Laws. – High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
