Public given until 12 November to comment on draft fuel and LPG standards
The Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) has reminded the public that three draft standards for petroleum products remain open for comment until 12 November 2026. The drafts are DZS 392 Part 4, on the cleanliness of diesel in bulk handling; DZS 426, setting specifications for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG); and DZS 1334, covering aviation gasoline grades UL91 and 100LL. Comments must be submitted on form SDF.SP-008 to the Director General of the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) or to the ZABS Executive Director. The process is run under the Energy Regulation Act No. 12 of 2019, through the Petroleum Products Quality Standards Technical Committee. The notice was first posted by the ERB on 18 September; ZABS shared it again on Facebook on Monday at about 13:00 CAT as a reminder. It is separate from the 42 draft standards from the Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency reported in Monday's edition. **Source:** Energy Regulation Board notice, first posted 18 September 2026.
