Agricultural authorities have pointed out that regional neighbors and wider international markets experiencing weather-related production setbacks have expressed keen interest in securing supply agreements. Talks are progressing through diplomatic and commercial channels to establish formal export frameworks. Government officials maintain that while export opportunities present a lucrative avenue for foreign exchange earnings and reliable markets for local smallholder farmers, every potential transaction will be carefully vetted against domestic consumption needs.
